ABOUT THE PROGRAM

   On behalf of Jose Sulaiman, President of the World Boxing Council, we are proud to announce the formation of the WBC Youth Title, Female Division for young, professional women boxers up to 23 years and 11 months.

At the helm of the WBC Youth Title Female Division is Rex Walker. Rex has been the driving force behind the WBC Youth Title Male Division since it's inception. This belt has been the incubator for many talented athletes, some of whom have gone on to become World Champions.

    Rex Walker has spent a lifetime encouraging and developing athletes. His interest in fairness gave way to the NABF Female Belt. In the same spirit, he has now decided to extend the Youth Title to qualified female athletes around the world.

  With the women now being recognized in the Olympics, Rex and the WBC want our young women boxers to have a safe place to go when and if they decide to turn pro. We are proud to be there for them and hope to offer them the validation and prestige they rightly deserve.
